Kazakhstan`s Samruk-Energo announces results of activity for 2013

Kazakhstan "Samruk-Energo" increased indexes on production, transmission and sale of electricity by 64 percent, 44 percent and 41 percent respectively in 2013, according to the head of the JSC Almasadam Satkaliyev.

"The volume of production has a positive trend in comparison with the same period in 2012, which is associated with an increase in consumption, the beginning of operation of JSC Moynak HPP, as well as consolidation of new assets (LLP Ekibastuz GRES-1, JSC "East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company" and LLP Shygysenergotrade)," Satkaliyev said at the briefing at the Central Communications Service in Astana on April 8.

The company's total revenues amounted to 142.9 billion tenge [$ 1 - 182.03 tenge] in 2013, increasing by 40.1 billion tenge (or 139 percent) compared to the same period last year, according to the head of the company. Also revenues on the group of companies, including JSC Alatau Jarykh Kompaniyasy, JSC Moynak plant, JSC Almaty Power Plants, MEDNC JSC, were increased.

As of 2013 consolidated profit of the company amounted to 40.9 billion tenge, doubling, compared to last year, due to the consolidation of new assets (LLP " Shygysenergotrade ", JSC" East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company " and LLP Ekibastuz GRES-1), Satkaliyev said.

Furthermore, profits of a number of companies such as JSC " EGRES - 2, JSC Alatau Jarykh Kompaniyasy ", JSC " East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company ", JSC Moynak plant , JSC Almaty Power Plants, MEDNC JSC also increased, he added.
