Since the beginning of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), 25 foreign investment contracts in various fields have been signed in the Payam Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Iran’s Alborz province, Executive Director of Payam SEZ Nader Sanagoo Motlaq said, Trend reports via IRNA.
He said that the value of these investments reached 2.58 trillion rials (about $61.5 million) and 452 jobs will be provided when the projects are implemented.
He added that 70 percent of the contracts are in the field of ICT and new technologies.
In his words, the projects are expected to be launched within two years.
“Payam Special Economic Zone employs 1,150 people; 48 manufacturing and industrial facilities operate there,” he noted.
