Kazakhstan’s Central Commission for Exploration and Development of Hydrocarbon Fields has approved 38 projects over the 1H2021, Kazakhstan Vice Minister of Energy Zhumabay Karagayev said, Trend reports.
The Central Commission for Exploration and Development of Hydrocarbon Fields approves the project documents, which are submitted by subsoil users after obtaining a license for exploration and/or production of oil and gas fields. These include exploration projects, pilot production projects and hydrocarbon development projects.
In the first half of 2021, five meetings of the Central Commission were held, where 51 project documents were assessed. Of these, 38 projects received a positive conclusion from the state examination.
Karagayev also added that the state examination of basic design documents has undergone a number of significant changes starting January 2021. The changes relate to the procedure for conducting an independent examination, the number of members of the commission has increased, which coordinates the project documents of subsoil users.
