Azerbaijan and Gasprom, Russian gas giant, set up talks in Moscow on 22 December 2006 on the delivery of natural gas in 2007, Trend reports.
The sides are going to define the price and volume of gas to be delivered next year.
Gasprom informed Trend that the Company offers Azerbaijan prices at $230 per 1000 cu m. We expect to bring closer Azerbaijan positions with our proposal, the same source added.
In 2007 Russian gas prices for Armenia will be lower than for Azerbaijan and Georgia in connection with the increase of participation share at the Armrosgasprom
Prices for Georgia are offered at $235 per 1000 cu m in 2007.
In January to November 2006 Gasprom Export, a daughter company of Gasprom, delivered 4bln cu m of gas to Azerbaijan. This year the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan purchases gas at $110 per 1000 cu m. Natural gas is sold to the country via the Shirvanovka - Kazi-Mahomed pipeline.
