BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 18. Kyrgyzstan exported 370,633 tons of cement to Uzbekistan from January through September 2023, which is a decrease of 28.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (516,388 tons), Trend reports.
The data from Kyrgyzstan's National Statistical Committee reveals that the value of these exports amounted to $14.855 million, resulting in a year-on-year decline of 31.5 percent ($21.689 million in 9M2022).
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 137,495 tons of cement at a value of $13.695 million from January through September 2023, with a volume decrease of 53.2 percent year-on-year and a value increase of 8.7 percent. Kyrgyzstan imported 613 tons of cement from Uzbekistan, valued at $38,100 during nine months.
Overall trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan reached $480.004 million from January through September 2023, constituting 4.4 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s total trade turnover. Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $198.947 million, while imports from Uzbekistan reached $281.056 million.
