Uzbek President Islam Karimov approved an agreement on the cooperation of CIS member-states on the creation of compatible national telemedicine systems, and their development and use in the future, a government source told Trend.
The document was signed in Saint Petersburg, on Nov. 19, 2010.
Karimov defined the Uzbek Healthcare Ministry and Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information as responsible bodies in this agreements' execution.
CIS governments can work jointly under the agreement, effectively using the national telemedicine system to improve health systems through modern scientific technology and innovation, thus improving its citizens' health.
