The volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan in January 2022 amounted to 32.9 trillion soums ($3 billion), which is an increase of 22.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (26.7 trillion soums, or $2.4 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of production of the mining industry for the corresponding period amounted to 3.8 trillion soums ($353.6 million), which is an increase of 19 percent compared to the same period of last year (3.2 trillion soums, or $297 million).
During this period the volume of production of the manufacturing industry increased by 25.2 percent compared to January 2021 (20.4 trillion soums, or $1.8 billion), reaching 25.6 trillion soums ($2.3 billion).
In January 2022 the volume of production in the field of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning reached 3.2 trillion soums ($295.6 million).
