Iran and Turkey agreed on Tuesday on the establishment of the second technical committee on tourism, IRNA reported.
The agreement was made by deputy head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization for tourism affairs, Ali Reza Ameri and second secretary of Turkish Embassy in Iran, Taylan Aydin.
A deal to that effect will be signed in Istanbul in March.
Ameri said that there is no balance between the number of tourists visiting the two countries and Iranian visitors exceed those arriving in Iran from Turkey.
He called on Turkish officials to help introduce Iran's tourism attractions.
Aydin, for his part, approved lack of balance between the tourists visiting both countries and said that to strike a balance in the number of visitors, the private sectors of both sides should promote interaction.
Establishing a joint commission focusing on Iran's tourism attractions can be effective in this respect, Aydin said.
