Of seven major steel projects in Iran that have been under development for some years, one was inaugurated in November, three are 90 percent through, and three other are 80 percent through.
The announcement was made by Abdolmajid Sharifi, CEO of the National Steel Company, ISNA news agency reported February 13.
The National Steel Company has adopted a goal of reaching 55 million tons per year steel output by 2025.
Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation, known as IMIDRO, President Mehdi Karbasian recently said all the seven projects will go on stream by the end of 2017.
