Hybrid Toyota cars are passing with flying colors in the Iranian market, according to Irtoya, the Japanese company’s Iran representation.

"As for legal conditions, things are very good. Also, the public has warmly welcomed our hybrid cars," Irtoya told Trend. "With this amount of air pollution that we already have, it comes very natural for us to have so many clients."

The company said beside energy efficiency, the success of hybrid Toyota models in Iran is owing to vast customer services distribution.

"We are number one in terms of customer service in all of Iran among imported brands. Also, among the total car brands in the country, including imported and locally made, we are the second largest," Irtoya said.

Toyota's Iran representation also said that orders for two new hybrid models, the Auris and the RAV4, have been placed with authorities and the company expects to have them in the Iranian market in the near future.

Irtoya in August announced it imported 1,489 units of the gasoline-powered RAV4 SUV model directly from Japan, making the model the fourth most imported vehicle in Iran.
