BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17.​ The rector of ADA University, Hafiz Pashayev, visited the Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (Creative Center), established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on April 16, Trend reports via the ministry.

Minister of Culture Adil Karimli informed Hafiz Pashayev about the conditions created at the Creative Center.

The center's main goals are to support young talents, enhance their skills, and create opportunities for realizing their creative potential. It also aims to implement projects in the field of cultural and creative industries, support the development of startups, and assist the growth of entrepreneurship. Additionally, the center focuses on attracting talented youth from the regions to increase the creation and export of local creative products and services.

At present, the Creative Center is carrying out several projects and incubation programs, including Music, Gametech, and Cultech. Over 20 new startups have already been launched within these programs, and around 100 residents are currently benefiting from the center’s services.

Karimli noted that the center has organized workshops and training sessions in animation, music and film industries, design, and creative fields. These include masterclasses on the use of artificial intelligence through the Ai4Art project. More than 200 young people have participated in these educational programs. The center also includes the Creative Market platform and the Creative Edu.az training center.

During the visit, Rector Pashayev toured the center’s modern studios equipped with advanced technology, including facilities for photo and video production, sound recording, animation, and dance.

The Ministry of Culture also provided detailed information about the Special Scholarship Program, and it was noted that the Creative Center’s partners include both local institutions and international organizations.

The residents of the center also presented their startups to the guest, sharing insights into their work and progress.

At the end of the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Culture and ADA University to enhance theoretical and practical knowledge within the framework of the Creative Center project.

The Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries (Creative Center) was established by the Ministry of Culture in 2024 as part of efforts to implement the Action Plan for the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Years 2022 to 2026," approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated July 22, 2022.
