Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says he has held proper talks for strengthening ties with Pakistan and Turkey during his recent visit to Islamabad.

Saying that the member states of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) are determined to expand ties, President Rouhani added that he discussed broadening ties with Pakistan and Turkey leaders during his recent visit to Islamabad to attend the ECO summit, Mehr news agency reported.

Mentioning that wide opportunities exist for expansion of ties between
Iran and the members of the ECO, the Present further called for cooperation in fight against terrorism. He made the remarks at his arrival in Tehran following the visit last night.

According to media reports, Rouhani and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed protecting the territorial integrity of Syria at a meeting on the sidelines of ECO summit.

The regional economic summit in Pakistan concluded on March 1 calling for cooperation in tackling terrorism and push for greater collaboration in areas of trade, energy and infrastructure development.
