Georgian government will send humanitarian aid to the Philippines. This issue was discussed at a meeting of Georgian government.

"A natural disaster took place in the Philippines and they turned to us for help. There is an emergency service in the Georgian Foreign Ministry that has opportunities to provide help to the victims. Mainly dry food will be sent," Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told journalists.

According to the latest data, as a result of the strongest typhoon 'Pablo' the death toll in the Philippines this year was 1.020, with 844 people still missing.

According to the civil defense, some 5.5 million people suffered from typhoon, more than 60,000 houses were completely destroyed. More than 850,000 people who lost their homes remain in shelters and evacuation centers. Disaster mode was declared in the 50 provinces and cities most affected by the typhoon, electricity supply has not been restored in a number of regions
