New Parliamentary Secretary of Georgian Government appointed

Deputy Head of the Administration of the Government Beka Dochviri has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary of the Georgian Government, Trend reports referring to governmental sources.

The main task of the parliamentary secretary is to assist ministers and heads of departments in resolving their parliamentary obligations.

In this position, Dochviri replaced Natia Mikeladze, who has held this post since April 2018.

The new parliamentary secretary is 31 years old.

From 2017 to September of 2019, Dochviri served as Director of the Legal Department at the Interior Ministry, previously holding the office of the Head of the Legal Department at the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

In 2015-2016, Dochviri was the Head of Legal Services at the Office of the Economic Council, having previously worked for the Office of the Ombudsman since April of 2013.

In 2009-2013, he worked as a lawyer for the Legal Assistance Center at the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association.
