Astronauts begin third spacewalk ahead of time
( dpa ) - Two astronauts at the orbiting space station stepped out into the vacuum of space 32 minutes ahead of schedule on Monday, where their main task was putting the finishing touches on Canada's double-armed robot Dextre.
Astronauts Rick Linnehan and Robert Behnken left the International Space Station's airlock at 2251 GMT on the third spacewalk of the Endeavour shuttle mission. The venture is slated to end at 0558 GMT Tuesday.
Before the shuttle returns to Earth March 26, the Endeavour astronauts are to perform two more spacewalks on Thursday and Saturday.
The fourth of five spacewalks was slated for Thursday.
