A US drone strike in Pakistan's restive North Waziristan tribal district has killed the deputy head of the local Taliban, intelligence officials said Wednesday, dpa reported.
Wali ur Rehman was killed when missiles fired from an unmanned aircraft struck a house near the district's main town of Miranshah.
Rehman was leading the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan operations in the South Waziristan district and also appeared in a video message posted in December by the group's chief, Hakimullah Mehsud.
