The value of export of leather goods from Turkey to Azerbaijan decreased by 0.2 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $8.95 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In August 2021, Turkey’s export of leather goods to Azerbaijan increased by 82 percent compared to the same month of 2020, up to $1.5 million, the ministry said.
Turkey increased the export of leather goods by 27.8 percent in the first 8 months of this year compared to the same period of last year - up to $1.09 billion.
Turkey exported leather goods worth $157 million in August 2021, which is 60.5 percent more compared to August 2020.
In the last 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s leather goods exports amounted to $1.57 billion.
