Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 24 / Trend T. Jafarov /
Iran increased the term of visa-free stay of Azerbaijani citizens in Iran from 15 days to one month, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagher Bahrami said at a news conference on Wednesday.
He said that this decision was made after the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Azerbaijan.
In early 2010 Iran unilaterally decided to abolish the visa regime with Azerbaijan from February 1. Official Baku has not considered abolishing the visa regime with Iran yet, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Azerbaijani citizens, traveling to Iran, must take a blood test for hepatitis C and AIDS.
