The Su-25 crashed in the Lida district of Grodno region of Belarus, "Interfax" reports.
The Su-25 of the 116 Attack Air Base of the Military Air Forces and Air Defense Forces as a result of emergency situation went out of control during the scheduled flights during implementation of exercise (flight in the zone) around 11:50 a.m. local time Sept.30.
The pilot, making sure that the trajectory of the plane crash is out of the settlements, ejected and was later discovered by the search and rescue team. No casualties or damage reported. The pilot was not injured.
The Defense Ministry of Belarus said that the reasons for the crash are currently unknown. It was reported that the decision to cease operations of the Su-25 has not been taken yet.
