Two earthquakes jolted Azerbaijani district of Shaki on Oct. 4, the Republican Seismological Service Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told Trend.

The first earthquake was recorded at 16:23 (UTC/GMT +5 hours), three kilometres east of the city of Shaki.

The earthquake's magnitude was 3, and its intensity measured 3 points, while the source was at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The second earthquake was recorded at 17:06 (UTC/GMT +5 hours), seven kilometers east of the city.

Its source was at a depth of eight kilometers, and the magnitude measured 3.1. The earthquake's intensity was 3 points.

Yesterday, on Oct. 3, two underground tremors with an intensity of 3 points each were recorded in the district.

Shaki city is located in Azerbaijan's northwestern district of Shaki, 347 km away from the country's capital of Baku.
