Azerbaijan, Ganja, 25 July / Trend corr. V.Mammadov/ Ganja Police detained in Russia an Azerbaijani citizen, who had been searched by international police for a long period.
Assistant of the head of Ganja Police said to Trend that on 24 July the Kapaz District Police jointly with Russian interior ministry employees detained Ganja resident Sanan Mehman Maharramov, 31, in Moscow.
Since 14 April 2006, Maharramov has been searched by international police. He is charged for repeated fraud.
At the moment, Maharramov is kept in an isolation cell in Moscow to be further extradited to Azerbaijan.
During this year, Ganja Police was searching for 170 people, with 108 of them detained.
