A lawsuit was filed on Azerbaijani Air Forces Commander Lieutenant General Rail Rzayev's murder.
The law enforcement agencies filed a lawsuit on the case in accordance with Articles 120 (willful homicide) and 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, its spare parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code, the law enforcement bodies told Trend on Feb. 11.
The Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor's Office confirmed this fact to Trend on Feb. 11.
The Air Forces Commander was shot in front of his house in the morning on Feb. 11.
The General was seriously wounded and taken to a hospital where he died.
Professional officers of the Republican Prosecutor General's Office, Interior Ministry and National Security Ministry formed an operation-investigation group to investigate the case, the Interior Ministry told Trend on Feb. 12.
