The final declaration of the symposium organized by the Association of Eurasian Economic Relations (Ankara) and the European University Lefke (Northern Cyprus) provides an appeal to the Turkic world, the international community and international organizations in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Final Declaration of the 12 items was adopted at the end of the symposium, which was attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Northern Cyprus, as well as MPs, social, political figures and scientists representing the Turkic community from Afghanistan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Crimea, East Turkestan and other parts of the world.

At the suggestion of Ganira Pashayeva and other members of the Azerbaijani delegation, the document widely reflected the occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory and existence of one million refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan.

Symposium participants strongly condemned the ongoing 15 years occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia. The declaration calls on international organizations and public to play a more active role in addressing this issue and implement their duties, invites all Turkic-speaking countries and their diasporas to broad cooperation with Azerbaijani government and the diasporas present to the world the genocide committed by Armenia in the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly.

Symposium participants proposed to declare 2011 the year of Karabakh in all Turkic world.
