Georgian Parliament's Deputy Speaker Rusudan Kervalishvili met with the NATO International Military Staff Lieutenant-General Jürgen Bornemann.

The sides stressed the importance of the Georgian side's participation in the NATO peacekeeping mission, Kervalishvili said after the meeting.

"We discussed important issues for Georgia. The conversation also concerned the Georgian-Russian issue raised at the Lisbon summit, where it was noted that the relations between the two countries, taking into account Georgia's territorial integrity must be resolved within the framework of the ceasefire agreement," Kervalishvili said.

According to her, the meeting stressed Georgia's democratic development, which will help the country in future relations with the Alliance.
