A Georgian Scientist Says Armenian Diasporas Residing in Foreign Countries Represents A Threat to Those States’ Population

Georgia, Tbilisi/ Trend , corr. N. Kirtskhalia/ The Book "The Armenian Batalion Named after I. Bagramian and Ethnic Clearance of Georgians in Abkhazia" has ben isued in Tbilisi. Bondo Arveladze, the author of the mentioned issue, told Trend Correspondent to Georgia that the book tells about numerous facts, that prove the Bagramian Armenian batallion, formed by Abkhazian separatists, took its active part in rooting Georgians out in Abkhazia.

"The Bagramian battalion took its active part in the provocative war waged against Georgians in 1992-1993, as well as in the ethnical clearance and genocide committed against Georgians. Taking into consideration all the aforesaid, the Armenian party has not only deigned to express their sorrows due to the mentioned, but also keep on put forward different claims that exceeds the bounds of ethics, morality, and the international law," Mr. Arveladze stated to Trend Correspondent to Tbilisi.

The author of the mentioned book said that he had repeatedly appealed to the spiritual and non-spiritual Armenian leaders, including Garegin II, the Armenian Catholicosis, Armenia's President, Robert Kocharyan, with a proposal to express their sorrows for the crimes committed by Armenians, since the Bagramian battalion was distinguished by its particular cruelty toward Georgians, but has not received any apply up to date.

"This silence is equal to their supporting that genocide and clearance of the century, where Abkhazian Armenians took their active part," stressed the Georgian scientist.

Mr. Arveladze emphasized that it was particularly unacceptable and non-understandable, since for many centuries the Georgians were the people who had saved the Armenians. "The Georgians are those people, the decisive and key role in keeping the Armenian people belong to," stressed the author of the book.

Mr. Arveladze stressed that this book was of a particular importance, and told about those brutalities and cruelties, Abkhazia's Armenian Diaspora committed against the Georgians. "This points out to the fact where there is an Armenian Diaspora; there is a threat to local population that Armenians may take such actions against them. There are a dozen facts in the World history that prove that," stated Mr. Arveladze.
