Azerbaijani gymnasts win first two silver medals within Grand Prix Moscow-2011

Moscow hosts the Grand Prix Moscow-2011 in rhythmic gymnastics. The Azerbaijani team is represented in junior and senior (adult) competitions. Farida Gayibova, the coach of Azerbaijani team, said that Azerbaijan is second on the number of participants after Russia.

Moscow hosts the Grand Prix Moscow-2011 in rhythmic gymnastics. The Azerbaijani team is represented in junior and senior (adult) competitions. Farida Gayibova, the coach of Azerbaijani team, said that Azerbaijan is second on the number of participants after Russia.

The group competitions were held this morning within the Grand Prix competitions in Moscow. Azerbaijani gymnasts won two silver - in senior competitions (three ribbons and two hoops) and junior (five balls). Russian gymnasts ranked first.

At present, our gymnasts perform in all-round competitions. Four Azerbaijani gymnasts - Aliya Garayeva, Anna Gurbanova, Zeinab Javadli and Samira Mustafayeva performed.
Our gymnasts will compete with the strongest gymnasts of the Russian team including Eugenia Kanaeva, Oksana Dmitrieva, Daria Kondakova and Yana Lukonina, as well as other famous gymnasts from Uzbekistan, Belarus, Japan.

There will be two separate finals of the group teams and four finals in the individual standings on Feb. 27.
