Movement of Baku-Georgian border passenger train resumed (UPDATE)

On May 11 at 07:30, movement of the Baku-Georgian border passenger trains, which was stopped due to derailment of 5 carriages with black oil, was resumed on both directions, the Azerbaijan State Railway told Trend .

Two carriages have been already installed on railways. At present the third carriage is being installed at the scene of accident.

There are not victims and injuries as a result of derailment of 5 carriages with oil products, going in the direction of Sangachal-Batumi. Moreover, there is no spillage of the cargo.

The accident occurred at Sigirli station in the Hajigabul region of Azerbaijan. Because of the accident, passengers from the Ganja-Baku train-express were moved on buses and taken to the station of Hajigabul, where with another train they were sent to Baku.

At present the reasons of the accident are being investigated. The special commission of the State Railway of Azerbaijan is working at the site of accident.
