Third Iran Gas Forum

The 3rd Iran Gas Forum will be held from 26 to 27 September with representatives from Germany, the UK, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea and Malaysia taking part in it.

Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN) quoted the director of Research and Technology of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) saying that this conference revolves around four main topics.

Saeed Pakseresht said, "The topics of the conference include policy making and macro strategies in the Iranian gas industry, management of demand and reform of energy consumption pattern, technology development in various fields of the industry and human resources development and its challenges."

He pointed out that 212 domestic companies have been invited to the conference, adding that four roundtables will be held in the forum.

Out of 275 papers 35 articles have been chosen that will be presented in 7 sessions, he said.

Pakseresht noted that an exhibition will be set up with the aim of showcasing research achievements of the country in the natural gas industry, and an educational workshop will be established to promote technology in this industry.
