Representatives of the German Federal Economics and Technologies Ministry are holding talks with the Turkmen government and sectoral ministries in Ashgabat, an official Turkmen source said.
Meetings are also held in the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The issues on cooperation in trade, oil, transport, and communications are discussed. These spheres are considered as the most promising, and were recently discussed in Berlin during the Joint Turkmen-German Working Group's meeting and energy symposium.
The German delegation, which voices its willingness to expand the presence of the country's business circles in the Turkmen market, will get acquainted with the macroeconomic situation in Turkmenistan and the terms of the investment climate.
As a result of 2010, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany exceeded $339 million.
According to the Turkmen Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Ministry, the country registered more than 50 enterprises with German capital, as well as about a hundred investment projects and contracts with German companies' participation.
