Azerbaijan plans to create council of business cooperation with Latvia, Russia and Turkey

Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs intends to intensify its activities in the field of international cooperation, the Confederation chairman Mammad Musayev told journalists on Saturday.

"The Confederation has signed cooperation agreements with more than 20 countries, the latest of which was an agreement with Latvia.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the establishment of the Council of Business Cooperation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and Latvia," Musayev said.

According to him, it will allow Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to expand export of their products to European markets, as Latvia is an EU member.

"We plan to create such councils with Russia and Turkey, which will further expand Azerbaijani businessmen's opportunities," he said.

According to him, the confederation is also working with 40 Azerbaijani associations, including banking, microfinance, as well as the Association of Insurers.
