Iran 's textile products export increased by 21 percent to $707 million during 10 months of the current Iranian year started March 21, 2010, compared to the same period last year, ISNA reported.

Iran 's textile products import has decreased by 9 percent to $1.5 billion during this time.

Earlier Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini said that the volume of Iran's non- oil exports has reached $26 billion in the past ten months (March 21, 2010-January 20, 2011).

The minister explained that the volume was about $4 billion ten years ago and it climbed to about $7 billion five years ago, IRNA reported.

According to Hosseini Iran could boost the volume of its non-oil exports following the model of neighboring Turkey, which exports $100 billion worth of non-oil goods annually.

Iran is the third-largest country in the Middle East and Central Asia in terms of exports and imports, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported.

The IMF said in its latest report titled 'Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia' that Iran's exports of goods and services in 2010 would amount to $95 billion.
