USAID deputy director arrives in Georgia

USAID Deputy Director Donald Steinberg has arrived in Georgia today, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia told Trend.

According to the information, Steinberg studied the implementation of USAID programs in the country. He will also visit the institutions financed by the U.S. agency.

USAID provides financial support to many projects in Georgia. Thus, the country implements an agricultural mechanization project, which provides funding to 25 private mechanization service centers throughout the country.

An information center opened in the Tbilisi City Court with USAID support. The purpose of creating the information center is to ensure transparency of the court. The new organization will provide citizens with information about court proceedings and provide consultations on the law.
