The sixteenth meeting of the Kazakh British Trade and Industry Council was held in London today, the Kazakh Public-Private Partnership Center reported on Wednesday.
The development of a public-private partnership in Kazakhstan was discussed during the meeting.
The Kazakh side was represented by the head of Kazakh Public-Private Partnership Center Administration Zhomart Abiyesov.
During the meeting, Abiyesov spoke on current state of public-private partnership in Kazakhstan, on the draft of law on public-private partnership (PPP) issues, which will soon considered by Kazakh Parliament deputies.
The total amount of concession projects planned in Kazakhstan is $4.42 billion with 76 percent ($3.3 billion) falling to the share of the transport sector.
The Big Almaty Ring Highway pilot project construction is presently one major PPP project.
