A programme of general insurance in Georgia, which will be launched on February 28, will cover two million people, Georgian Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs David Sergeenko said.
He said the programme will cover two million people who currently do not have insurance policies.
They will fall under the programme according to a relevant appeal from hospitals and clinics.
Sergeenko also noted there are sufficient resources for the provision of a full service for the population.
According to the minister, the budget of the Health Ministry for 2013 is 635 million lari. This programme will be funded from the budget of the Health Ministry.
