The spokesman of Iran's Guardian Council said that ballot papers have been designed for the June 14 election, the IRIB News Agency reported.

Abbas-ali Kadkhodaei said that the ballot papers meet high standards in terms of both quality and security.

He went on to note that the Guardian Council has also approved a team of 30 people as members of the central executive board of the presidential election.

He made the comments after a visit to Iran's Bank Melli publications company where the ballots will be printed.

Over twenty presidential hopefuls have so far officially announced their bids to take part in the upcoming presidential race.

The Iranian Interior ministry announced that the country will hold its 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections and run for a third term due to constitutional constraints.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates' qualifications.
