Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan increase trade by more than 20%

In first four months of the current year, the trade turnover of Kazakhstan with Uzbekistan increased to $870 million or by 20.8 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the report of Energyprom.kz on July 5.

In the reporting period, imports from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan reached $672.3 million, which is 28.5 percent more than in the same period last year.

The main exported goods were wheat and meslin ($118.7 million), semi-finished products from iron ($62.7 million), and oil and petroleum products ($42.3 million).

Exports from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan for the reported period increased slightly (only +0.3 percent per year) reaching $197.7 million.

The main products imported from Uzbekistan were ethylene polymers ($21.6 million), lead ores and concentrates ($19.5 million), and oil gases and hydrocarbons ($19.2 million).
