The cable plant located in Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) plans to increase sales in the domestic market, as well as export volumes, the public relations manager of the Sumgayit Technology Park Rashad Aliyev told Trend.

According to the PR manager, since the beginning of this year, the plant has increased exports to Central Asian countries.

"During the reporting period of 6 months, the plant exported its products to Kazakhstan in the amount of $7 million. Cables, polymer industrial pipes, sandwich panels were exported to this market. In addition, the plant exports its products to Georgia and Russia," Aliyev said.

Currently, the plant produces more than 30 varieties of cables and plastic pipes, which are sold domestically and abroad. The capacity of the enterprise allows to increase export volumes. However, it completely depends on the requested volumes of our foreign partners,” he added.

It was also noted that the immediate plans of the plant include an increase in exports and expansion of the geography of supplies.

"We are also sufficiently involved in the domestic market, since we are participating in local projects. Currently, we supply metal structures for the reconstruction of the SOCAR refinery in Baku," Aliyev said.
