Amount of cargo transshipment from Georgia via Turkish ports disclosed

In June 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Georgia through Turkish ports amounted to 1,291,748 tons,Trend reports referring to Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The volume of cargo transshipment from Georgia by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 737,495 tons, while Georgian vessels flying flags of other countries carried 554,253 tons of cargo.

During the reported period, no cargo transshipment by Georgian vessels flying the Georgian flag was carried out.

In June 2019, 4,754 ships arrived in Turkish ports, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 63.603 million tons. During the reported month, 2,049 ships flying the Turkish flag and 2,705 ships flying flags of other countries arrived in Turkish ports.

The gross registered tonnage of ships, which arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in June 2019, amounted to 11.003 million tons, and of ships under flags of other countries equaled to 52.599 million tons.

In January-June 2019, Turkish ports received 25,869 ships, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 390.223 million tons.

In January-June 2019, the gross registered tonnage of vessels arrived at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag amounted to 60.091 million tons, while the gross registered tonnage of vessels under flags of other countries equaled to 330.131 million tons.
