Georgian dairy products enterprise Shiraki plans the reequipment, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The company will invest $100,000 in the project.

As the company declares, after implementing this project, Shiraki plans to double productivity and entering new exporting markets.

The company exports up to 15 types of products to several countries, including the US, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, in November 2020, imports of dairy products to Georgia increased by 3-4 million liters (raw milk equivalent) compared to the previous 4 months and amounted to 13.3 million liters. Overall, the volume of imports this year is still at a record high, but the difference from last year continues to decrease. Average import prices also remain high, although they may change from next year.

Of the 13.3 million liters of imported dairy products, 5.6 are skimmed milk powder. This is 16 percent less than in the same month a year earlier. Imports of milk powder remain low: overall, less powder is imported this year than in any of the previous 4 years.

Total dairy imports in the first 11 months are still higher than last year, although the difference continues to narrow. Recently, there has been a downward trend in the import of dairy products, which is still continuing. Imports of dairy products in November fell by 4 percent year-on-year.
