Countries continue to purchase goods via Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan

Entrepreneurs from the UAE purchased in foreign currency aviation kerosene and gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

In addition, businessmen from Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas in foreign currency on the Turkmenistan stock Exchange.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $ 17.3 million.

The exchange also conducted transactions in Turkmen manat. Thus, domestic businessmen purchased co-extrusion polypropylene film and cotton fiber for the domestic market for a total amount of more than 3.4 million Turkmen manats ($967,578).

In general, 7 transactions were registered on the exchange over the past week.

More than 313 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in January 2021.

During the first week of January, 27 transactions were concluded, during the second – 158 , the third – 35, and the fourth - 93 deals.

Thus, in January, transactions in both Turkmen manat and foreign currency were registered on the stock exchange of Turkmenistan. Transactions were concluded both with foreign entrepreneurs and local ones for the domestic market.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
