The biggest share in the structure of Azerbaijan's GDP from January through May 2021 accounted for industry, amounting to 41.2 percent, which is by 3.5 percentage points more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 10.4 percent in the structure of GDP accounted for the sphere of trade and repair of vehicles (decline of 0.8 percentage points), 7.5 percent - transport and warehousing.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishing accounted for 4.2 percent, construction - 5.3 percent. Less than one percent in the structure of GDP accounted for the hotel business and public catering, 1.9 percent - for information and communications, and 18.8 percent -for other sectors of the economy.
The net tax revenues from the import of products amounted to 9.7 percent of GDP from January through May 2021, decreasing by 0.9 percentage points compared to the period from January through May 2020.
The volume of Azerbaijan's GDP from January through May 2021 increased compared to the same period of 2020 by 0.8 percent and amounted to 31.5 billion manat ($18.5 billion).
