BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 385,000 tons worth $382 million during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Hossein Kakhaki told Trend.
“The foreign trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan for six months increased by 64.6 percent in value, while decreased by 4.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” Kakhaki said.
According to him, Iran exported 372,000 tons of non-oil products worth $363 million to Azerbaijan in 6 months, which is increase of 72.8 percent in value, while decreased by 4.37 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the same period last year, Iran's non-oil exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 389,000 tons worth $210 million, the official added.
The director general also noted that Iran imported 13,000 tons of goods worth $19 million from Azerbaijan within the mentioned period, which is a decrease of 13.6 percent in value, and 1.5 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Kakhaki emphasized that the figure stood at 13,200 tons worth $22 million in the same period last year.
As for Iran's non-oil exports to Caspian littoral states for 6 months the official said that the exports amounted to about 1.9 million tons worth more than $983 million. This is an increase of 41 percent in value and 3.24 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
