About 482 million 900,000 barrel of oil was extracted in Iranian south oil fields within March-July 2009, SHANA news agency said.
"About 11 billion 58 million 500,000 cubic meters of petroleum gas, 553 million 200,000 cubic meters of carbonic gas and 3 billion 946 million 110,000 cubic meters of surface gas were extracted in Ahvaz, Marun, Agajeri, Gachsaran, Parsi, Kerenj, Baznan, Mansuri, Reg sefid, Bibi Hakim and other oil and gas fields of south region within March-July 2009 (a year officially begins in Iran in March), director of production department of the National Iranian South Oil Company, Ali Agajarian said.
He said that all technical and engineering conditions were followed while oil and gas extraction. "New technologies are used while developing oil and gas fields. Necessary measures are taken to prevent ecological and other harm," Agajarian said.
