SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has prepared a report on the basis of an interpretation of data obtained from three-dimensional seismic work in the Garadagh area, the Azerneft Production Association stated on its official website.
According to the statement, structural maps of seismic horizons belonging to Miocene productive stratum have been prepared as a result. Moreover, an assessment of the petro physical parameters of the layers of the Garadagh underground gas storage has been conducted. Corresponding maps have been prepared as a result.
At present, Azerbaijan has two underground gas storages: Kalmaz and Garadagh.
SOCAR includes Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerkimya (chemical industry) and Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations.
In addition, SOCAR includes a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations
