The Iranian Mercantile Exchange (IME) saw a considerable increase in the sale and purchase of petrochemical products last week, Trend reports citing National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
According to the report, sale and purchase of polymers at the commodity exchange increased by 3.78 percent compared to the preceding week. Thus, 77,000 tons of polymer was purchased.
“Last week, 105,700 tons of polymer was planned to be sold at the exchange, but only 96,600 tons were sold,” report said.
According to the report, the sale and purchase of chemical products at the exchange increased by 2.44 percent. Thus, 33,600 tons of products were sold last week.
“Last week, 50,900 tons of chemical products were planned to be sold, but 37,800 tons were sold,” report said.
In the first month of the current Iranian year (March 20-April 19, 2020), products worth $316 million were sold and purchased at the Mercantile Exchange.
