Azerbaijan’s natural gas exports to Turkey up by over 18%

Azerbaijan’s natural gas exports to Turkey increased by 18.33 percent in October 2020, as compared to the same period in 2019, Trend reports with reference to Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Russia was Turkey's top gas import destination, supplying 2.045 bcm of natural gas, while Azerbaijan and Algeria followed with 1.102 bcm and 518 mcm, respectively.

In October, Turkey's gas imports from Russia grew by 50.62 percent while the volume of imports from Azerbaijan and Algeria rose by 18.33 percent and 12.83 percent, respectively, compared to the same month last year.

Turkey's natural gas imports via pipelines increased by 36.20 percent in October this year compared to the same month of 2019 and stood at 3.245 bcm, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports rose by 2.55 percent year-on-year to 795.46 mcm.
