Shell offers solution to purify oxygen gases generated at enterprises of Uzbekneftegaz

Shell came up with a proposal for the use of a low-cost, high-performance sulfinol solution at existing facilities to purify oxygen gases generated at enterprises owned by Uzbekneftegaz, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

At the initiative of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium, negotiations were held via videoconferencing with the participation of specialists from Uzbekneftegaz and Shell.

It is reported that information was provided during the videoconference on promising projects and plans being implemented in Uzbekneftegaz JSC. It is noted that Shell presented its achievements over the past 100 years in the oil and gas industry and the technologies they have introduced into production.

Along with this, Shell came up with a proposal for the use of a low-cost, high-performance sulfinol solution at existing facilities to purify oxygen gases generated at enterprises under the jurisdiction of Uzbekneftegaz.

The company representatives noted that the use of this solution allows reducing the multi-stage acid gas purification processes, as well as the experience of the factories that are currently using this solution, the results obtained by them.

Also, the parties discussed the issues of purchasing and installing equipment with a capacity of 10-700 tons per day, which would allow the use of CO2 gas for technical and food purposes, emitted into the open air as waste in exchange for the use of this technology.

In addition, the parties discussed the methods of changing technological processes to increase the productivity of existing gas cleaning plants and the mechanisms of operation of a new type of plate system for innovative absorption columns ‘Shell Turbo Tray’ and its advantages.
