Gobustan Operating Company, developing the on-shore oil field В"GobustanВ",completed cleaning of the area, where earlier the damage was caused while performing oil and gas operations, the Ministry of Ecology and the Natural Resources told Trend.
"The Ministry’s workers inspected the area and drew up the protocol on performing the cleaning by Gobustan Operating Company", вЂ" the Ministry noted.
The company cleaned the territory in line with the decision of the Economic Court.
The court procedure between the Ministry of Ecology and Gobustan Operating Company lasted about 2 years. The Ministry of Ecology filed a lawsuit against the company on reimbursement of the damage caused on the upper layers of the earth during the operation. The size of the fine is 719,7 million AZM ($156,7 thousand).
