Poll Brammel, the British Ambassador to Kazakhstan, said that the UK supports Kazakhstan joining Baku-TbilisiCeyhan (BTC) main export oil pipeline, Trend Special Correspondent in Kazakhstan reports.
"The British Government positively assesses Kazakhstan joining BTC. The oil pipeline is a fruitful route for Kazakh oil transportation to international markets. As more Kazakh oil and gas enter the international markets the better it is for Kazakhstan and other countries," he said.
Presently British companies are active in oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan. At the same time a group of companies headed by BP was involved in the construction of the Baku-TbilisiCeyhan main export oil pipeline.
"The UK supports policy on diversification of its deliveries. The most important is the provision of stable and short delivery of hydrocarbons, at favorable prices, said the Ambassador.
