Turkmenistan signed more than 130 international documents from December 1 through December 12, 2020, the total amount of which was to $62 million, more than 1.5 million euros and more than 2.5 million Turkmen manat ($712,250), Trend reports with reference to the Arzuw NEWS Agency.
The above-mentioned documents were signed during the twelve-day International exhibition at the Expocentre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The amount of contracts signed with international organizations (primarily, the UN) amounted to more than $82 million. In addition, about 40 contracts were signed providing for the export of Turkmen products, worth about $72.8 million.
A distinctive feature of the current exhibition is the maximum use of digital technologies. In particular, there were stands of public and private structures, including ministries, departments, and large enterprises that presented the achievements and promising opportunities of each industry in video format.
Many business events, presentations, and negotiations were also organized at the exhibition. Document signing ceremonies were held between the heads of domestic ministries and other institutions, as well as representatives of relevant foreign structures, companies, and international organizations.
